Challenges

Victor® Pest offers a range of rodent control products, including traps, electronic repellents, and monitoring solutions. Customers often arrive with urgency—but limited understanding of how repellents work or how different methods fit together.

The goal of this page was to educate first, equipping users with clear, science-informed explanations and practical guidance before introducing product solutions.

Rodent control is often misunderstood, and misinformation can lead to unrealistic expectations or ineffective strategies.

Key challenges included:

  • Explaining how electronic and scent-based repellents actually work
  • Addressing common myths without overwhelming users
  • Presenting a clear, actionable strategy rather than isolated tips
  • Integrating product recommendations without undermining trust

The page needed to function as both a learning resource and a decision-support tool.

Strategy & Approach

I approached the design as a visual learning experience, structured around clarity, credibility, and progressive understanding.

  • Concept-first education
The page begins by explaining how repellents work, including ultrasound frequencies and scent-based deterrents, so users understand the underlying principles before encountering products.
  • Visual explanation of abstract concepts
Charts, diagrams, and icons help make invisible forces (such as sound frequencies) tangible and easier to grasp, especially for non-technical audiences.
  • A structured, multi-step game plan
Rather than promoting a single solution, the page introduces a 3-step proactive approach—trap, repel, and monitor—encouraging more realistic and effective pest control behavior.
  • Myth-busting through comparison
A “Facts vs. Myths” section directly addresses common misconceptions, helping users recalibrate expectations and reinforcing Victor® Pest’s role as an educational authority.

Outcomes & Impact

The page demonstrates how educational design can:

  • Increase user confidence in complex or misunderstood topics
  • Reduce reliance on misinformation
  • Support product discovery through clarity rather than persuasion

By framing rodent control as a process, not a single product, the experience positions Victor® Pest as a trusted expert and partner in prevention.

The project demonstrates how educational infographic design can transform a product-driven landing page into a clear, trust-building learning experience that supports informed decision-making.
